Last night was the 18th Annual CIPA (Colorado Independent Publishers Association) EVVY Awards. I became a part of the CIPA team earlier this month and was recruited to help them design their award finalist presentation, which they would use to present each of the 1st place winners. The EVVY Awards are open to CIPA members who are either the author, service provider, or the publisher of the book. Jake Jabs was a speaker, and presented the awards. Dom Testa, from the Dom and Jane radio show in Denver, Mix 100, was also there to accept a contribution for his foundation, The Big Brain Club. It was an exciting night and many authors took home multiple awards.
Bernie and Linda Nagy, shaking Jake Jabs hand, took home many awards for their beautiful book South Park Colorado!
I am proud to say one of the books I designed and proofread, Feel Younger Now! by Donald McGrath took home an EVVY award! The book was submitted by Don and his publishing company which I work closely with, Wise Media Group! Congrats to you both! It was also nice to see that the presentation I designed worked out smoothly.
Kudos to all the authors who took home awards last night! You all deserved it.
